How Dare We

Ink in the sink of realized mistakes
Stains from veins snapped hard
due to bursts of a worstead quill

I am what I will
and clogging my own drain
lets the filth run amok.

If anyone has a problem
with the literary category I've chosen for this piece,
please include an essay of no less than 500 words on how the misuse and abuse of a literary category
impacts your life.

Some artist would appreciate that
much more than comments on the integrity of the work itself
and although I'm not one of them,
the essay would help me understand people a little more. :salute:

I love the commentary on this piece almost more than the piece itself; that bit about the essay just made me laugh out loud! I think it should be a new DA rule. In fact, I think I should like to make it the new rule of congress, as well. Would shut those fuckers up right quick, wouldn't it, because we all know they've long since stopped thinking their own thoughts, much less expressing them in any way not a direct parroting from a PR team.

HAHAHAH!!
Yeah. Forcing people to submit an essay to back their itchy/pet peevy ideals would produce a very quiet room in most cases.
In others, it would be a select few chat-corners where one could have a wide open WELL EXPLAINED universe
laid out before them.

Win/Win if you ask me.

I would be an ass to claim to know what your intentions were, but what I get from this is that people are too often obsessed with perfection and trying to impress everyone. It's dishonest and unhealthy, really. You acknowledge and even embrace some of your mistakes, you don't try to hide them. It's one thing to admit you're wrong and another to flagellate oneself...self-awareness>self-loathing...

Nope... you have escaped "assy-ness".

Love hearing from your head, babe.
You're right about the dishonesty
and that's the biggest part of the message on this one.
Magic guises.

Glad I could rely that idea clearly in such a short burst.

I like this piece very much.

Interesting idea about the missuse of category and impact on life

Did you know that if you submit a piece under the category of "photography - snapshots",
dA instantly forces your work into your "SCRAPS" folder?

Yep.

:icondensity-tmr:
that doesn't sound good! What is point in have the category there!!! Yeah DA is a bit bonkers sometimes.

I submit everything virtually to one category.

No one says shit.

Maybe they just think it is shit!

Submitting everything to one category is a statement in itself.
Having no one remark upon this act says that your work supersedes knit-picking.

You are apparently the better artist in this light.

If only all the cyberobjects in deviantArt were actually art. That would be category enough.

I just to what I do; will seems not to have much part in it.
