Ok....so Equestria Girls. Honestly, this is something I've been trying to ignore talking about, because quite honestly, I'm not interested in it. I don't hate; I don't like it; I don't care about it. But, seeing the reactions to it from the fandom, I might as well talk about it.

Seriously, I haven't seen a fandom backlash this great since Mass Effect 3's ending. It was ridiculous when Mass Effect fans lashed out about it, and it's ridiculous now. Let me clarify; the anger is not what I find exasperating. Mass Effect fans were justified to get so upset at the ending, and quite honestly, I think fans who are concerned about MLP and it's direct

Why I Cook: My Wife's Fight With Food Allergies Food is universal.  It spans cultures and continents and countries.  We treat our friends and family to lunch.  We take clients and strangers out to dinner.  We buy treats for our pets, and maybe sneak them a little of what we're snacking on.  We feed the bird in the park, the fish at the ornamental pond, the monkeys at the zoo despite the sign.  Can you imagine anything so alien and ostracizing as somebody who does not eat?

Gaming Editorial: Fallout 3 Vs New Vegas
So I've recently been playing  Fallout: New Vegas again, and it's incredibly fun. I enjoy every aspect of it: the story, character development, gameplay, writing, the works. Although, for the longest time, I've always claimed that Fallout 3 was the better game in my eyes because it was the first Fallout game I played and I nostalgia'd over it so much. After thinking it over, I've come to the conclusion that in order to accurately figure out which game is better, I have to review the aspects of them that make them great. Let's Be Real - Mini RantFirst off, I am not a supporter of Obama, or any politician. I have chosen not to vote in recent elections because I figure I am screwed no matter who gets in office.

Let's be real for a moment here

Obama is being crucified for Benghazi and IRS scandals. These scandals, in my mind, absolutely pale in comparison to 9/11 and Katrina.

Before anyone tries to make excuses, if Obama should have been able to stop Benghazi, then Bush should have been able to stop 9/11.

What happened after Katrina, and how the US government responded to it, is way worse than any IRS scandal, period.

What are my thoughts?

It doesn't look that bad.  Twilight goes through a portal and ends up in a human world (where apparently all the humans have some sort of radation poisoning judging by their skin colors lol).  The trailer did show that alot of the background characters will be making cameos.  Scootaloo doing the chicken-dance, if that isn't fan-pandering, I don't know what is.

Kind looks like Azumanga Daioh / Lucky Star meets Disney's Doug.

I love the commentary on this piece almost more than the piece itself; that bit about the essay just made me laugh out loud! I think it should be a new DA rule. In fact, I think I should like to make it the new rule of congress, as well. Would shut those fuckers up right quick, wouldn't it, because we all know they've long since stopped thinking their own thoughts, much less expressing them in any way not a direct parroting from a PR team.

Yeah. Forcing people to submit an essay to back their itchy/pet peevy ideals would produce a very quiet room in most cases.
In others, it would be a select few chat-corners where one could have a wide open WELL EXPLAINED universe
laid out before them.

I would be an ass to claim to know what your intentions were, but what I get from this is that people are too often obsessed with perfection and trying to impress everyone. It's dishonest and unhealthy, really. You acknowledge and even embrace some of your mistakes, you don't try to hide them. It's one thing to admit you're wrong and another to flagellate oneself...self-awareness>self-loathing...
